If you need images for a project, whether a documentary or book, the National Archives, the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian and United States Holocaust museums all have tremendous collections of still and motion picture images available for duplication. These films and stills vary from newsreels of the  1930's to signal corps photos from Vietnam. From Mathew Brady civil war daguerreotypes to images taken from space. The copy process varies depending on the original format and whether a backup copy already exists. Copies can be made in several formats.  For stills Lyon Research can make black and white photocopies for reference, color copies on a standard kodak duplicating machine or using a  macro lense rephotograph originals to obtain print quality copies.  For moving pictures, there are also several options.  Many of the films in these archives have already been transferred to BETA and VHS, in  which case we can simply duplicate them.  Some of the more obscure footage may not have a duplicate.  In this case Lyon Research can simply play the film and duplicate it too the format you need..
